QS DEFENDER Progress Update: ISO 27001 Assessment Underway & Malaysia Partner Onboarding
QS DEFENDER is sharing a transparent progress update on two initiatives that directly affect how international buyers evaluate a long-term anti-counterfeit partner: a formal ISO/IEC 27001 information-security assessment is now underway, and a Malaysia-based channel partner is being onboarded to shorten response times across Southeast Asia. Both are works in progress — formal certification and a signed partnership will be announced only when each is completed.
ISO/IEC 27001: Information Security Assessment Underway
Information security has become a baseline requirement in international tenders, especially for pharmaceutical, electronics, and government-linked supply chains. In response, QS DEFENDER has opened a formal ISO/IEC 27001 assessment rather than treating security as an internal checklist item.
Where the program stands
- Gap analysis against the ISO/IEC 27001 control set is complete.
- Remediation of identified gaps and rollout of documented controls is in progress.
- An external certification audit is planned for later this year.
We are not yet certified, and we will not claim certification before an accredited body issues it. This update is published so procurement teams can track our roadmap rather than wait for a surprise announcement.
Malaysia Channel Partner: Onboarding in Progress
Southeast Asia is one of our fastest-growing regions, and customers there have asked for local inventory, faster logistics, and language-local pre-sales support. To meet that demand, QS DEFENDER is onboarding a vetted Malaysia-based channel partner.
What the partnership will add
- Local stock holding to cut lead times for urgent orders.
- Regional logistics and freight coordination.
- Malay and English pre-sales and after-sales support.
The partner is currently in due diligence. The agreement is not yet signed, and we will announce the official partnership only after both sides complete final review.
Why we publish progress, not just results
Buyers building a multi-year brand-protection program need to see the direction a supplier is moving, not only where it has arrived. Sharing an honest status — assessment underway, partner onboarding — lets your team plan around a roadmap you can verify.
